Broken Compass Tiki: Ahoy Matey!

Broken Compass Tiki is our new local favorite. Well… not SO local – we live in Sherman Oaks, but I’m more than happy to scoot over to Burbank for this new owner-run, pirate-themed (a refined affect – don’t panic) restaurant/cocktail bar.

The food is EXCELLENT – Chef/co-owner and culinary force-of-nature Erica Abell (formerly exec chef at Boneyard Bistro) serves up a modern, creative take on bar fare, classic English yums (sausage rolls and steak pie are the BOMB), plus unique specials. Her homemade fish chowdah is a must-try.

Broken Compass Tiki‘s bar is top drawer – Co-owner Frank and his mixologist mateys have mad skills with adult beverages and offer an ever-changing menu of custom cocktails, classic clever twists on classic tiki drinks. We hope to see more of those tiki flavors in the coming months.🍹😋

The staff includes all the owners (Erica, Frank and Walker) plus others with friendly, attentive personalities. VERY comfortable, lively and large space, plus warm people. Parking is street only, but we’ve always found a spot right away.

Pirate Swear: Broken Compass Tiki is a well-worth-the-drive place to meet friends, have a group party or just slide onto a barstool after a long workday.
