If you’re looking for a comfortable neighborhood tavern with an AWESOME rotating beer list, really nice customers, a pool table and bartenders with spunk and who serve good adult beverages, hit The Oaks Tavern – in Sherman Oaks.
If you go on Friday you might meet Tony – he’s a really nice guy with serious beer knowledge (grew up in a brewing family!) and explained with an entertaining flourish why I love milk stouts so much.
My husband and I live within walking distance and own/run an artisan jewelry shop on Ventura about a block away, so having this little gem nearby makes our home neighborhood that much more special.
Why 4 instead of 5 stars? Have you every tried parking there? It’s best for those within walking distance. Still… there are spots on the residential streets nearby so give it a shot. (shot! ha!)
Extra points for: There’s a dispensary and smoke shop abutting the bar and Carnival – my FAVORITE Lebanese restaurant just down the street, so you can get all your vices on in one trip; however, I’ll pass on the Karaoke nights. I’m just sayin’. 😉
